Duties and Responsibilities: A mental health counselor is to conduct mental health assessments for patients. They also set up treatment plans or therapy to help their patients. Also, they set up workshops for people and see how they do things on their own and they may work at schools or agency to help others. A mental health counselor is suppose to be their to help people and guide them in how to do things and express themselves.

Salary: $81,880

Education: To become a mental health counselor it is required to have a masters degree and have a license, it is required to have this in all states. It takes two or three years be to able to get a degree in counseling. Lastly, it is required to have 2,000-4,000 hours of experience before applying for a license.

Demand in this profession: The career outlook for this job is about 20% to grow by the year 2024. It is projected to grow more because more people are willing to seek more mental help.
