These 10 commandments are very important because they know what is to be expected from them and the kind of person they are. These 10 commandments is what keeps the native americans together and united as one. We could learn from these and be better people that are always peaceful and do what is right. For example, in commandment 4 “do what you know is right”, this commandment is concise and explains how people should know to do what is right and know when it is the right moment to do it. Another example , in commandment 3 “show great respect to your fellow beings”, this one explains how it is important to be respectful to one another. Don’t being mistreating anyone because it is not the right thing to do. Also, in commandment 9 “ be truthful and honest at all times” this is important because honestly is one of the most important things. It is never good to lie and even for the little things because nothing good will come out of it. These commandments inspire me because I would want to become a become a better person.

A Promise
“A promise must never be broken”
Alexander Hamilton

This quote means that once you promise to keep a promise, it is then to never be broken. Promises are a big deal because people are able to trust and rely on you and you know that you will always be there for them. When you break a promise you show that you are a fake and untrustworthy person. Promises are to never be broken because it could affect the people around you and it is not easy to forgive someone who they trusted and ended turning their back on them. Keeping a promise could be hard though because it depends on whether it is something very hard to hide if it’s wrong or right. For example, when you promise your friend that you were going to go with them to a school event with, you should be a responsible friend and go with them and keep your promise because once you promise to do something you have to do it. If you don’t keep the promise and leave your friend hanging then, that makes you a person that they know they can’t count on. Always keep your promises because that shows how true you are and it shows others that they can always count on you no matter what.

Goodness
“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
Henry David Thoreau

This quote means that when you do good it is worth doing because you are doing something positive that helps you and others. When you invest your time on something that is bad, it is not worth it because nothing good will come out of it and it’s a waste of time. You invest your time on something that could bring you bad consequences and will not affect you in a good way. For example would you want to invest your time in helping others out and doing a good cause that will benefit you or go waste your time on only doing bad with others where you just get yourself into trouble. Investing your time somewhere that will do good will always benefit you because when you do good it never fails and will help you see all the different experiences. Goodness well never fail for you, choosing what is right will benefit you.

They’re Right
“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re popular; you make them because they’re right.”
Theodore Hesburgh
This quote mean that you should always be aware of the decisions you make because you know what is right and you should always choose what is right and not what is wrong. You should be able to make the right decisions because they are the ones that you think will be right for you. Don’t make bad decisions and do the wrong thing because that will only bring you trouble. When you make decisions because they are easy or popular, do it because you want to do the right thing and challenge yourself. For example, if you had to make a decision whether you had to be irresponsible and not follow directs or choose to be able to get things done and then do what you want. The right thing to do is to choose to not get into any trouble and do what is right instead of picking to do what is wrong. When you make wrong decisions you are aware of what you are doing and you should be smart enough pick right from wrong. You choose to pick the right decision because you know that somehow it will benefit you.

Sound and Good
“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound”
Joseph Smith

This quote means that we always have to be focused that way what we do sounds and is good. When others choose to not do good nothing from it is pleasant and the sound of all the negativity is nothing. Do something that is always good that way you could be well known for it that way you get recognized for something positive you did. For example, at school when you try to raise money to do an activity that can benefit everybody, be influenced to do it and be positive. If it sounds good then it feels good and that should help you recognize that you are doing good in something. If you don’t do the right thing then nothing good will come out of it and you don’t feel good about yourself. Always concentrating on what is good will make things easier and benefit you. Not doing what is good will make you feel horrible about yourself.
School Break Days
Things I did during spring break was, I went to the park to meet up with some friends and we hung out for a while. Other things I did throughout my week was go visit some family members and we had dinner together. I also went to the mall  a lot with my parents or brother because I was very bored being home alone for a long time. I sadly didn’t meet anyone new, but I did start talking to people that I hadn’t spoken to in awhile. I also watched many movies since I was alone most of the time, I rewatched all the fast and the furious movies. I also watched kicking and screaming, don’t breath, the maze runner, etc. Also, watched some soccer games when my dad and brother were home but some of them were boring. Almost everyday i was in charge of making sure the house was always clean and I had to do all of the chores, I was being CTR by helping my mom around the house even though I didn’t want to and most of the time I had done it wrong. When the day would get worse and I was just sitting doing nothing I decided to read a book that I really enjoy now . I began to read thirteen reasons why, and I find this book very interesting and entertaining. I was very lucky enough to not get any homework this week so I had a lot of free time using my phone.

Be True
“ I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong”
Abraham Lincoln

This quote means that you are always going to stay true to yourself and others and you don’t care if you win or lose. You will always know what is right and what is wrong and you will stand with someone is is right and if stand by yourself for what you believe. Being true makes you a honest, trustworthy person that anyone go look up to. If you always do what is right then you then in return you will get a good life because you stay true to everyone around you. You make good decisions because you are able to tell what is right and wrong and you will always choose what is the best. For example, if you cheat on a test and get a good grade, you shouldn’t feel good about yourself. You need to stay true and tell the truth, be honest. Even if you know it will result in consequence then you will stand for what is right even if it may hurt. If you choose to not true nothing good will result from it that is why you need to always be true.

Character
“Character is higher than intellect”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
This quote means that was matters the most is character and not all the talent you have. Character shows who you truly are and you are able to prove the kind of person you are whether you have manners and are able to control yourself. Your talent and intellect is what matters the least because that is just a part of you, unlike your character it shows your real personality and it reflects on others by how you were raised. For example, when you are trying out for a sport, your skills are important but the way you act with others whether you're kind to others or just mean. Being a good calm person that is competitive but not aggressive is showing good character because you know what you want but if you don’t get it you're okay with it and you’ll try harder the next time.  Showing your character is the best part of you because you know you can always be better.

“I trust that my hard work will pay off”
Tyler Haws
This quote means that whenever you decide to work really hard and put in all effort, it will soon pay off. When things pay off only good comes to you because you have worked hard enough to show that you could accomplish things in life no matter how hard it can get. Working hard for something shows true determination and when you are determined to do something you will do it and you see how it will pay off because you did anything and took all the opportunities. For example, when you say your goal is to go to a good college, you will work hard to get good grades, take any volunteer work and take any school opportunities. When you put in all this work it will pay off by being able to be accepted into many schools that you would want to go to. When you decide to get lazy and not even do anything for yourself then you won’t have any options because no one will want you because they know you won’t put in your best and try to succeed. Try to always put your everything to your goals because that is what is going to make you keep on going and make you successful.
