This quote means that you get to have true freedom and independence when you do right things. When you choose to do right things you earn yourself to have more freedom and independence because people start to realize that you're a good person that does no harm. Choosing to do what is right will make you realize that it brings no problems for you because you are able to do things in an honest and responsible way. For example, when you when you tell the truth you get something off your chest and you feel free because you know you are doing the right thing. When you do what is wrong choice like do drugs when you get no freedom because people will always be on you and could be in prison. Having this type of life will not give you any freedom. Be able to mature and make good choices for yourself. That is the lifestyle you would want , to be independent and have freedom.

This quote means only people that are always doing what is right are the people that are actually good. People who always choose to do what is right and take the right actions are the one’s who are truly great because they don’t try to fool anyone and are always being honest. Only those who are good are the ones that succeed and be able to help others. If you choose to not be good then no one will look up to you and you won’t be treated how you have wanted to. Choosing what is wrong does not make you an actual great person because you are cheating others and yourself. For example, when you are always helping others out and being honest then you are truly being a good person because you are caring for others. When you choose to do great you do good and that will be your key to life. When being truly great everything around you will feel right because you know you are choosing the right.

This quote means that just doing something bad which seems small can turn into something very big that could even change your life. You may think that you are doing nothing bad but it could affect you and the other people around you. It’s better to not cheat yourself because although you are happy in the beginning it won’t last a long time. For example, if you cheat on a test and you get a perfect score then you are going to be very happy and excited to tell others, but you know the story behind it is that you cheated. The happiness won’t last long because it will eventually come out and the long term pain will begin because then everybody will know your a cheater. Your short term gain of happiness won’t long .

Volunteer Opportunities

Companion Volunteer for hospice: You are to volunteer anytime of the week for a few hours and you get to talk to the people that are there and listen to them and give them company. You get to share and use their skills to make the people feel comfortable for their last few months. To be able to volunteer all you need is valid driver's license and a social security number.

Pet Therapy Hospice: When you volunteer here you take care of the animals and be able to take them to people at hospice. This helps the people feel good and spend time with animals and this therapy is to help patients get their mind off of things and prevent them to always being depressed or sad for thinking of all the bad. To be able to volunteer here to you need to be a dependable person and a caring person that is able to treat the animals and people with manner.

Cheat

“I won’t cheat”

This quote is a promise you make to yourself saying that you will never cheat. Cheating is a big deal and it’s important that you never do it because it does not do you any good. It brings consequences and it affects you later on in your future. When you think it’s not a big deal you are thinking a wrong way because any type of cheating is wrong. For example, if you cheat on an assignment for school and get it from your friend you are doing something wrong that can affect you someday in your future. Saying that you won’t cheat is making a promise that you won’t cheat yourself because if you do something on your own without cheating it may be upsetting but at least you know you gave it a try. It is better to try because you are letting yourself know that you need to work on something instead of cheating and not understanding it. If you cheat nothing good will happen because it is not right to take credit for something else and not improving yourself. Don’t cheat because you won’t be successful that way and you will only be cheating yourself.

This quote means that your own character is what matters the most. The way you act with others and show them who you are is the most important because you show them your true self. Your character is was what is either is going to take you far or nowhere in life. When you know you have a good character you feel good about yourself because you know you are doing something right and you feel proud. For example if when you play in game and you loose there is no need to be upset. Have a good character and be happy for the other team and proud of yourself because you worked hard. Having a good character matters the most because you show others of what you are capable of doing and taking the right actions. Having good character will get you far in life and will help you succeed.  

St. Patrick’s day

St. Patrick was born on 385 in Roman Britannia, Scotland. He was known as the patron of ireland and he was also christian. The holiday was established on the day of his death and it still remains a mystery of how he died. He was also taken as a prisoner at the age of sixteen by the irish raiders. He wa held in captivity or six years and worked as a shepherd and worked outdoors.

The purpose of St Patrick’s day is to celebrate the Roman catholic feast day. Many people from ireland celebrate their religion and the arrival of it by St Patrick.  The color green is the color to use this day because people refer St Patrick to shamrocks and because the color green is associated with the catholics in ireland. It is to be told that St Patrick used this three leaved plant to represent and explain the Holy Trinity. The celebration is done by doing festivals and parades and using traditional irish music.

A Right Heart

This quote means that it is most important to have a right heart because that is where everything should come from. Even though everything else about you is great, but that doesn’t count it is whether you did it with a good intention and if it came right from the heart. It feels great if things were to come from the right heart because it is like you are meaning it. If what you did didn’t come from the right heart and just came from the riches and strength then it’s like it is meaningless because who would it be from the right heart. For example, When you see someone struggling you should do it because it is the right thing to do and and you have a right heart and not because you have strength and riches. Do things for the right cause and not because you know you are great. Know how to have a right heart because that is what makes you a person that everyone will admire and would want to learn. Having that great heart will help you exceed and truly make you are great person and not all the rest of you. Its better to have the kind heart make positive actions.

Volunteer Opportunities

     Los Angeles mission: The jobs of people who volunteer here is to be able to provide services for the poor and help them hind new homes and try to give them a better future. When people who can’t go to a doctor and get medical care, people at the los angeles mission help them with all of that and care for them. They are located in the city and in order to volunteer it could be anyone just to donate or be able to help around.

St. Jacob Hospice: The job here is to help out people that are ill and need help. Volunteers need to have experience and help the people emotionally. To be able to volunteer it must me a teen or senior citizens. They do activities together and have different workshops to help the people. They are in Northridge and have many people come in and help.

Comfort Choice Hospice Care: These volunteers help out in the human resource department. The volunteers create and update files. They are to go over paperwork from employees. They are in los angeles and take in any volunteer who is interested in going through medical resources.

This quote means that whether you do one right or wrong thing in a day could make a big difference and impact your life and others. Just doing one thing could make a difference and you don’t know if it will be good or bad because it all depends on your actions. Even though you are known for having a good reputation all of that could change into happiness or complete misery. Doing what is right would be the best to consider because you wouldn’t want your life to be bad and be known for all the negative things you have done. A small difference can not only just change yours but also the people that are around you. Anything you do will change for all eternity whether you choose if its for good or bad. What you do today can impact you are the rest of your life for example if one day you choose to cheat on a test. That one thing can change the rest of your life because you can get kicked out and you’re not learning anything on your own. Its better to do what is right because what you do today can change the rest.

Ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities: An ophthalmologist is a doctor that treats illnesses, diseases and different conditions in the eye. They do eye surgery on patients to help treat or get rid of any disease they may have. Another thing they do is examine other’s eye to be able to prescribe them any lenses or pair of glasses. They are to care for any patient that is having issues with their eyesight and to prescribe them any health care.

Salary: $197,700

Education: An ophthalmologist is required to have a medical degree. They are to earn a four year bachelor’s degree and go to four years of medical school and a three to four year internships. Another thing that is required is getting licensed to be able to go into more practicing programs. There skills that are also required is to have strong physics and math.

Demand in profession. The outlook of this job is at about 14% in all surgeon. They are to have a good job opening for them till 2024

Reflection: I would not be interested in this job because it does not sound interesting.

This quote means that you know what your future can be if you know are the right things you are doing. When you know that you are always doing what is right you will have a good future and you know that your actions are good. When you decide to do what is wrong you know that you won’t have a good future and you will end up facing the consequences. Predict your future in a positive way that you know will make you happy. Be able to create it in the best way as possible that way you know your hard work pays off. Being able to predict your future is by creating it because you are aware of your actions. For example, when you're in highschool you predict the college you want to go to and what you want to become. Create your future by starting to work hard and make good decisions . Being able to create your future is better because you get many more opportunities.

Operating Room Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: An operating room technician is to assist a surgeon in handling the tools and and be responsible in what they different things are needed.  They prepare they surgery room and make sure that all the tools that will be needed are there. They also keep track of where everything is at that nothing is misplaced during the surgery. After, they are to take patients right back into recovery and cleanup the operating room that way it is ready for the next patient.

Salary: $45,940

Education: To become an operating room technician it is required to be graduated from a surgical technology program and be certified as a surgical technologist. It is also required to go to training programs for 9-15 months to become certified.

Demand in Profession: For the operating room technician it is projected that it will grow 15% in all types of surgical technician.

Reflection: I would not be interested in this career because I don’t like anything that has to do with surgery. It seems very challenging to be watching that and meanwhile preparing for it.

This quote means to always think before you do something that can affect you. You should think if what you are going to do is whether right or wrong because it can affect you. When you do something that you know it is wrong then nothing good will come from it that is why you should think before you take action. For example, when you get asked to go to a party where there might be trouble and lots of bad people, think before you decide what to do because if you do decide to go then it could affect you badly. It would be better if you choose not to go because that way you won’t have any risk and rather stay home where you won’t get in trouble. Think before you take action because you never know what might come out of it. When you know something is right then do it because there will be benefits and you will feel good about yourself. Do what is right and never do wrong, things may happen for a reason , but when you think wisely about it you will be saving yourself from what is bad.

        This quote means that you always need to be choosing the right and always do your part well even if others aren’t. You won’t be honored for doing something that is wrong and if you do it won’t last long because the truth always comes out. If you decide to do something well but the others don’t they are just being liars and people that should not be honored. They well go down but not you if you decide to choose what is right. For example, if you play in a game when people from outside the area are not allowed to play, you are doing wrong. Since you know what are the rules and still decide to do what is wrong then you can’t be honored because you're not doing anything good. Act well because that is the only way that you will get honored because you are choosing to do what is right. Liars don’t get anywhere in life there truth always ends up coming out and it is an embarrassment. That’s why it is important to always act well to be able to be honored.

Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:  A nursing home administrator is to supervise clinical nursing homes to see how the people work and how the patients are. They supervise how they and oversee how the staff do their procedures and check that they use they right supplies and provide the correct care work.

Salary: $94,500

Education: The educational requirements to become a nursing home administrator is to have a four-year bachelor’s degree. It is also required to be licensed even if a higher position is wanted. To have a higher position it is required to have a master’s degree and to work in in organization another two-years of master’s is required.

Demand in profession: It is projected that this job will increase by another 17% by 2024. The job outlook in this career is very high since overall there are a large number of people in this career.

Reflection: I would not be interested in this career because it seems very simple and easy. Although it would be nice to be able to see how others are being treated, but it seems like something that is not challenging.

This quote means that if you decide to always choose the right then you will be taken care of because you have done good things. Always doing what is right will bring you good things in life and it is like it is repaying you. When choosing the right it benefits you in good ways and when you live right you know that you will always be in good footsteps because you are doing no wrong. When you decide to do what is wrong, it will never bring any good to you because only negative things bring trouble. Wrong is never right because when you do something like that you won’t be taken care of and nobody will return any good to you. For example if you find something lost that does not belong to you it is better for you to return because that is the right way of living and you will be taken care of.

The Neurosurgeon

Duties and Responsibilities: The neurosurgeon also known as a brain surgeon is to examine and give a diagnosis in what things go wrong in the nervous system. The treat patients with surgery done in the brain spinal cord and peripheral nerves and they remove tumors. They help relieve chronic pain and treat wounds. They treat patients with by first making them go through a PET and CT scan, so that way they could determine the diagnosis and see how they could help them if they are having any problems near or in their brain.

Salary: $421,032 - $707,635

Education: The educational requirements for a brain surgeon is, four years of undergraduate school then followed by four years of medical school. It after takes the brain surgeon 6 - 7 years for residency training to learn the different clinical skills. It is also required to go through 3 - 6 months of clinical neurology. Right after the six years of residency the brain surgeon is to go for 42 months for clinical neurosurgery.

Demand in Profession: All types of surgeons is projected to grow about 14% within the next few years.

Reflection: I would not be interested in this career because I don’t like bloody things. Also, because it is a very risky job because every part of the brain is important and if something is affected then anything could go wrong.
