This quote means that if someone doesn’t have a goals then how do they know on what they are suppose to focus on. They don’t have a  specific destination, like a ship is they don’t have a rudder then it won’t function properly. Having a goal is important because you are focusing on one thing to accomplish and you know where and what you want to do in order to accomplish it. The ship with the rudder know where it is suppose to go because the person has the goal to get somewhere and if the ship didn’t have a rudder then how would it ever get there, it’s like it’s not suppose to do anything. For example, if someone doesn’t know how to ride a bike, then there goal is to be able to do it. So they focus on what they need to do in order to accomplish it. If the person didn’t have a goal then how would they ever accomplish it, they don’t have that determination to accomplish it because they don’t have the idea to be able to complete it. This applys to my life planning goals because I will set goals for myself that I will try to accomplish that way it could help me be more successful.

Memorial Day Weekend

My memorial day weekend was fun and bad because a lot of things went down personally. Things I did were going to my uncle's house to spend sometime with the and my grandma that came from Mexico to visit. It was fun to see my cousins and talk to them and keep up with things that have been going around. Another thing I did was on Saturday I went to my friends party, it was her 15 and I had a lot of fun because I went with my friends and I got to see a lot of people I hadn’t seen in a long time. We talked a lot and we also got to meet some new people which was also interesting. On the next day I didn’t do much because I got really sick and I felt really weak which didn’t motivate me to do anything. Movies I got to watch was “Gifted” it is about a little girl who is very smart and good at mathematics and it was good movie I got to enjoy with my family. Some CTR experiences I had over the weekend was I helped my parents with the chores around the house. Another thing I also did was homework, I sadly procrastinate and it caused me to not be able to finish my draft for my essay because it was a lot to do and I couldn’t handle the stress. The book I had to read in order to write my essay was Across Hundred Mountains, it was a very interesting book I enjoyed to read and it was quite long and it has caused me to begin to lag. I overall had some good and bad days, even though there have been better but things happen for a reason.

Forgive

“When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.”

Forgive means to stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake.

This quote means that in order for you to heal and feel better you have to learn how to forgive. To be able to live a positive life you need to learn how to forgive someone because when you don’t you will just feel bitter all of your life. It’s also good to forgive because that way you are able to give someone else a second chance. Being able to give someone that second chance is important because you free them from having to be live guilty and they know that it is also time for them to heal. For example, if you get in a fight with your best friend learn to be able to forgive them and give them a second chance. Just doing that will make you feel better and you are also letting them know to start over and not make them feel bad for what they had done and you could both learn from that experience. It may be hard at first to do it because it is not always easy, it may take sometimes, but when you know it is time you could heal and positive again. When you don’t learn to forgive that you feel guilty and miserable because things will never go back to how they were. Healing is the best thing you could do in order to recover from something that may have been to hard to handle.

Memorial Day

Memorial day is special day when we get to remember the people that died while being in the military. This day is always celebrated on the last monday in the month of may which is in the late spring. Some ways we could show honor and respect on memorial day is by having public festivals and feast where everyone can get together and have a good time. Another thing that is done is that many people take flowers and put out pictures of the people who died.

Some interesting facts are:

• It became a federal holiday until 1971
• It was originally called Decoration day
• Every person that died serving for the country gets put is a small American flag put on their grave
• Over 2 dozens states claim to be the birthplace of memorial day

Somethings I would do to show honor and respect on memorial day is be grateful for everything that they have done for the country. Another thing I would do is fly a flag in my house to show honor. And lastly I would support the military families that have a family member in the military or someone who passed away.

My thoughts and feelings on memorial day is that I do feel bad for all the families who may have lost someone special to risk their lives. Yet I am happy that they get to remember them and be proud for what they did to defend all of the people in the country. My thoughts on it is that, this holiday should be more well known because don’t even know when it is and it is a very important day for the country. This is a very special day when many people get to be remembered for the benefits they did to our country that made us all better and stronger. They are a big influence and I think they deserve all the respect. They did so much for many of us and they we all need to be grateful for what they did. These people  should never be forgotten for all the good they did I think we should do more things in our community that way we could all get together and have a special moment as one big community.

Do Right

“Dare to do right”

This is a powerful quote because you should always do what is right because it is a positive thing to do. This dare should be one of those that you should be able to complete because it is simple and you are doing it in a kinda manner way. If you ever dare to do something that is wrong than you are not doing the right thing because it won’t benefit you in any way. When you dare to do what is right you become more and more of a choosing the right then choosing the wrong kind of person. For example, when someone dares you to always do what is right then you will do things that will help you become a better person and you will be able to make better decisions for yourself and you will always be honest about things. When you take the challenge to do what is wrong, then you are not benefiting yourself at all because all you’re gonna get from doing what is wrong is bad consequences. This is a good dare because now you know it will make you a better persona and since you’re always doing what is right then it will bring good things into your life and you will be able to learn from these experiences.  

Laboratory Animal Caretaker

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of a laboratory caretaker is that they have to help animal be bathe, fed and be able to recover and do exercises. They are also to be able to provide animals with any emergency aid needed and give them any medication they may need to be able to be healthy again. Another thing they do is assist in getting any samples or blood, urinary or tissues that way they could run test. They also clean and disinfect any cages that may have been used for other animals.

Salary: The annual wage for an animal caretaker is $25,250

Education: To become an animal caretaker they are required to have a high school diploma. Training is also required but this is usually done when having the job. Certification is usually not mandatory, although many places will require one or a higher level of education:

Demand or Need in this Career: The job outlook for this job is projected to grow about 9% from 2014-2024. This will grow faster than the average of all occupations because they are needed to help the veterinary do the procedures the animal needs. Some important qualities needed to become a good animal caretaker is having empathy, detail oriented, and physical strength.

Reflection: I would be interested in this career because I really like to be around animals. I like being able to help an animal that can be living a happy healthy life and be able to recover.

Brooke "Stand Tall"

Brooke is a very young girl who stands out very much because of her height. People may think that she is different but that's not true. She is like every other ordinary girl, but what also makes her stand out is her personality. She doesn't try to set such high expectations but she knows hot to stand up for herself when she knows things are not right. She also helps her friends pick themselves up that way they never give up on themselves because she knows that that is never the wight thing to do. She stands tall, taller than she is so she is able to show other people to stand for what is right and show that you are a strong person that won't let themselves be dragged into things they don' want to.

Stand Alone

“Dare to stand alone”

This quote means that even if you have to stand alone because you are right then you should do it. Always choose what is right even if you are alone, but it is better that way because you get to be an example to others of what it is like to know what is right even when you are lonely. Sometimes it may be hard to do things are your own because you don’t want to stand out but it will show what kind of person you are. For example, When you are at a party and see your friends doing drugs but you don’t want to do it, dare to stand alone. Even if they try to force you stand up for yourself and say no to it because you know it is not the right thing to do. They may make fun of you but that is wrong, they should be able to respect the decisions you make for yourself because you know what is right. If you were to decide to not stand up and stay and do what is wrong, there would have been consequences. You could have gone to prison for doing something illegal or you could have ruined your future is after you had fallen into the wrong footsteps. It is always better to stand alone if you have to, but as long as you are standing up to do what is right, then it will benefit you in life. Daring to stand alone will show how you know to stand up for what you know is right.

Psychiatrist

I decided to write about a psychiatrist because it is a career I would like to focus on. I find it very interested to be able to focus on being able to help other people that are having mental issues. I would like to learn more how a psychiatrist is able to help solve others problems and see how each person's brain works differently and what they are capable of doing. I would like to learn how they study people’s behaviors and listen to all of the concerns they have about their illness. I another thing I like is their work environment because they mostly work at hospitals and there you could also see how other doctors work and be able to learn new things and knowledge. Another reason why I chose this topic was because I like to help other people that need help and are in need of special services and know that you were able to help and maybe even save someone’s life that was having a hard time doing things. It’s good to know that you were able to provide a different lifestyle and therapy to someone who really needed it. I find this career very interesting because mental health is something I find very interesting and I would like to someday become one.

  This quote means that if you pursue your goals and are determined to accomplish them then you are in the right path because you are doing the right thing. When you do the right thing then you will succeed because doing what is right could never be wrong and will bring you good benefits. Being able to accomplish your goals is very beneficial because then you could do other ones that will help you succeed more. You having everything under control and setting the right goals will help you stay under track and be in the right pathway because it is something positive that you are doing that will help you because a better person. For example, if your goal is to become a successful doctor than you have to do what is right and let things fall into a good line that way at the end everything will turn out fine and you could see yourself grow as a successful person. Even if you accomplish one goal, set other ones that could challenge you more and see how it works hard. You will only be able to accomplish a goal if you actually try hard enough and but in all you effort into it.

Journalist

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of a journalist is to be able to to gather  a lot of information and have enough knowledge about the subject they interview about. They are to also find any other information that could help them back up their story and give more detail and facts about it. Another thing they have to do is be able to work with other people, they need to know know how to collaborate and communicate with other people. They should know how to respect other’s privacy and and their decisions. It is important that they know not to force people to do things only for their benefit.

Salary:  Starting average is $35,328 and yearly is $44,030

Education: In order to become a journalist it is required to have a bachelor’s degree or have some type of education in english or communication. It is important that you take programs that will help you gain more experience of subjects that will give you more knowledge. To be more advanced you could become a reporter and be part of a larger market.

Demand in This Profession: In the career of the journalist is is projected to decline 9% from 2014-1024. Since many things are becoming more digital it is becoming more difficult for them.

Reflection: I would be interested in this career because because it seems exciting to be able to get more knowledge from new things and learn new facts.

Phillip Riggs

This statement means that When you follow these four tips, it could lead you to success and give you many advantages.Working hard will pay off sooner or later, but it is important that you never give up because then you would be a failure. For example, if your goal is to go to good college, work hard enough that way you could get into to it. Another advice was to follow your passions and do things that interest you. If you don’t follow your passions than you will feel miserable because you are doing something that you don’t enjoy. No one could force you to do something you don’t like because it is not right. Also, it is important to not chase money because money isn’t the only key to life. Don’t do things for money, do it because you know is the right thing to do. Money doesn’t make you a good person that is what least matters in a person, it feels better you know that you worked hard to earn it. Lastly, serve others and do good things others because the good will come back to you. When you do good for others than good things will happen to you because you are choosing to do what is right. You could never go wrong when you serve others because it is the right thing you do. These tips by Phillip Riggs will lead you to success.

Physical Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of a physical therapist is to recuperate patients from injuries and surgery. They are to help patients be able to recover their movement and be able to manage the pain. They use equipment to help patients get in the habit of doing exercises that will help improve the difficulty they have. Another thing they do is evaluate the patient’s record to see how they have been improving or not and see if they could make any changes to what exercises they should do.

Salary: The annual salary is  $85,400.

Education: It is required to have a DPT degree with programs that are 3 years. Another thing that is required is a bachelor’s degree in anatomy, biology, chemistry, etc. Also, doing 30 weeks of clinical work after being supervised is important to see how you interact with others. Important qualities to have is compassion, physical stamina, and detail oriented.

Demand in Profession: In the physical therapist pathway it is projected to grow 34% from 2014-2024. This is the more than the average for all of the occupations. It is projected to grow this much because there are elderly that are needing help after they have a stroke, heart attack, and mobility issues. Especially since now most of the people that were from the baby boomer time are now retiring.

Reflection: I would be interested in this career because I would like to help out people who are injured. I enjoy getting to help others that are in need and it’s important to be able to provide them those kind of services. It’s also good to see how you see your own patients get better with your help and knowledge.

Choosing the right should always be your number one decision because you could never go wrong when you choose to do right. The best thing to always do, is the right thing to do because so many good things come out of it. For example, if someone accidently drops something then you should react in doing the right thing and returning it back to the owner. When you decide to do the right thing you feel good about yourself because you know you did what was right. You could never go wrong when choosing what is right because it will make your life much more better. Living a life where you are always honest and being able to help other people. At anytime in life it will be better to choose what is right because you know you could never go wrong.

This quote means that whenever you do wrong nothing good will ever come out of it because it is not the right thing to do. You will only get the consequences that will hurt you because you decided to do what is dumb and now you have to face your punishment. Nothing is ever gained when you do what is wrong because you can’t get a reward for doing something that can affect you are others. Doing what is wrong will bring you prison, trouble, and no one wanting to be around you because they would think that you’re a big danger for them. For example, if you rob a store, you won’t gain anything from it because you will be looked for to go to prison and you will have a bad reputation for what you did. You can’t gain any good not even if you try to hide from it and avoid it because it will always be following you until you do what is right. It is always better to choose what is right because when you do what is right only good things come to you and nothing bad could happen if you do it right.

Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities: A pathologist is also known as a speech therapist and they help patients learn ways to communicate with others. They help people diagnose, treat and help prevent any communication or swallowing disorder. They are to evaluate patients level of communication and find different ways they could help treat it. Another thing they do is help patients improve their voices and speech.

Salary: $74,680

Education: It is at least required to have a master’s degree and apply for any  programs that they have.Also, graduate programs in speech and language. It also required to be licensed because mostly all states require it and they could only work if they have one. Important qualities they must have is having good communication skills, compassion and listening skills.

Demand or Need for this Profession: The pathologist is projected to grow 21% from 2014 to 2024. Pathologist are needed for the increasing amount of people needing help in their speech.

Reflection: I would be interested in this career because it is nice to always be able to discover something new in science.

When you say that you are going to do something you have to keep your word, it’s just like a promise you make that you are going to keep. Keeping your word is important because you show yourself that you’re capable of doing something and and not going beyond. For example, when you give your word of honor that you will never lie, you must always keep it because you gave your word of honor. After you give it you can not tell a lie because you gave your word which is like a promise. If you break your word then that can affect you and others because you weren’t being honest and broke it. Be able to keep your word of honor because that truly shows that you are able to accomplish things without even doing anything wrong.
