                                                                Presidents day
Presidents Day Presidents day is an American holiday that is celebrated every year on the third Monday of February. It was first established in 1885 to recognize president George Washington, even though still other states recognize past and present presidents . Also, to honor workers and have a three day weekend. Since the presidents day is in honor of our first president the government decided to always make it every third monday, though president Washington’s birthday is on February 22. Ways people would honor and respect this holiday is by going to mass in honor of the president and soldiers who have served. Many events are made in states to remind other and students are to be taught why this day is very important and all accomplishments that had been done in the president’s lives. I could show honor and respect on presidents day by talking to others about it and explain why it is such an important day. Also, appreciate what the presidents and soldiers have done for this country to make it better. As long that people never forget this special day and all traditions are being passed on to the future generations, this holiday will always remain in our history and will always be remembered.
