Toxicologist
Duties and Responsibilities: A toxicologist is to design experiments and see the different effects on chemicals. They identify the amount of chemicals that can cause risk for people. Toxicologist check if products are safe enough and see the different chemicals they contain. Their studies go from chemicals that are exposed to the world to the ones that affect a human immune system. They also investigate toxic substances that were found in a crime scene.

Salary: $79,633 for all type of toxicologist

Education: To become a toxicologist a bachelor degree is required. Students that are undergraduates are to take statistics and math courses. To be more advances it is good to get a master’s degree in science and a 1-2 year in studies research project program,

Demand In profession: The growth for this profession is expected to grow 8% for all medical scientist and another 8% for all biochemist.


Reflection:I would be interested in this career because it is interesting to find how one chemical could make a change and the different effects it has to it. Another thing is that it is interesting to find toxic substance in crime scenes and determine is that one chemical could have caused so much affect and kill a person.
